The flag of Iraq is remarkable as it consists of three horizontal bands^ red, black and white. In the center there is an inscription in Arabic made in green letters.
Red is a symbol of religious people struggling of islam. White stands for generosity and wide soul other sourses think that will for the victory. Black was always a symbol of Arabic people but on the flag it is used to commemorate heroes who sacrificed their lives for their Republic. Green is the symbol of islam religion.
The country came in power soon after the League of Nation was founded in 1921. Soon after that a small state of Iraq became a Kingdom.
