Flag of Washington — the symbol of one of the 50 US states. The only US flag with a green cloth, as well as the image of an actual person. Since Washington is the only state that was named in honor of the historic personality, the first president of the United States.
Description of the flag
The flag consists of the rectangular cloth of dark green color, symbolizing the nickname of the state, “Evergreen state”. In the center is the seal of the state of Washington, which depicts a portrait of first U.S. President George Washington. Around the circumference, on a gold ground, the inscription, “Seal of the state of Washington 1889” is placed.
Each flag shall have an official identical seal, one on each side of the flag and placed so that the center of each seal is strictly located in the center of the flag. The seal may have a serrated edge.
This flag is one of the most expensive in the US due to the seal is printed on both sides. The seal of the Washington state can be issued by printing, painting or stitching.
